Congrats Dr. Joe Jackson!
Associate Pastor Joseph Christian Jackson Continues with Ph.D. in Christian Counselling… Praise the Lord for His leading in ministry. It really is phenomenal to know that God knows all! When the church decided to offer a position of service in the ministry to Joseph Jackson on May 12, 2009, the work was there, but the financials were thin. I mean, really, it was a big step of faith to ask a young man who had other opportunities to come alongside and help lead in the ministry. God provided, as He always does: He spoke to the hearts of the members to pray, to give financially, to assist with the different elements the church really needed to have in place. When “Pastor Joe” came on board, he had just finished his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Ministry at West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, California. He was in the college recruitment office and managing a lawn care/snowplow business to help provide his way through college, doing it all debt-free (with the cost of college education, there was no idle time in his schedule)! He was bi-vocational for the first three years of his ministry to provide for himself. Two years later, while buying his first home, the Lord led him to Kyla Farnham, and the match was perfect. She is so precious to him (she is the best part of his life right after the Lord). All the talents that God blessed him with singing, preaching, teaching, administering, reaching the lost, disciple training, counseling, and helping people were enhanced with the sweet wife and now three vibrant (papa’s bias) children: Stephen, Elijah, and Gloriann. This pastor is sorry to report that Pastor Joe and his family will not be in attendance on his twelfth anniversary. He will be down south. He has been diligently working on his Ph. D in Christian Counseling at Louisville Baptist University for the last few years. He will be ‘taking off’ a week to complete in-person classes and then conferred. This is a special time in his life and well deserved! “Congratulations” are in order for Dr. Joseph Christian Jackson. The stellar relationship with God, the love he has for Kyla is wonderful. Together they share with their children, the ministry work he has accomplished in finishing his degree, working with believers and non-believers alike, will only be enhanced with this continued education and completion. Certainly, God led the church to invest in this man twelve years ago by faith, and he in us, and now we can see how God’s plan through it all continues to bless us all. With a pandemic, these very uncertain times throughout the world, it is so comforting to know that none of this is a surprise to God. God knows all and has a perfect plan. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
I have been reading “Helping a Starving Soul” and have enjoyed it immensely. It is spot on for the condition of souls in America and the cultural effect on our people. It is written from an experienced and concerned heart. It is to the point, yet not unkind. It is well documented and well stocked with helpful quotes.from names we respect and trust. Thank you for the insight and hard work.
