Windows of heaven
-The sowing and reaping principle is not eclipsed by even the non- believer. As one writer put it, “Malachi 3:10–12 : God is no man’s debtor. The more we give to Him, the more He gives to us. That principle holds as true for us in an age of grace as it did for Israel in an age of law. Any believer with a good heart and a pure motive can put this principle of giving and receiving to the test for himself.” Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be meat in mine house, And prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts,If I will not open you the windows of heaven, And pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Note the words “…windows of heaven…” they are opened and closed by God’s directive. I may have my ordination papers revoked for talking about those windows when there is tithing to be hammered about in the passage but the windows are where it’s at. We have experienced the opening windows of blessings and the closed dearth times and pray only the best for you.
-I’ve remained busy and prayerful over the past year or better regarding my wife of nearly 39 years, Wendy’s blogging: The journey regarding her spiritual joys and setbacks, physical challenges, relationship opportunities that have come about as a result or in spite of terminal brain cancer. Not that I had nothing relevant to say, it’s just been easier to continue loving her, pastor the church God called us to start 28 years ago, and just keep up with all of the additional household responsibilities solo (wow, she did so much before she became ill- cooking, cleaning, gardening, shopping it has been a marathon race). She can’t say what I’m saying because of her declining health. I believe there are virtual windows in heaven, the redeemed are looking through them at those serving here in earth and God pours out blessings through them. I am not promoting Pella Windows or Anderson Windows being hinged on Heaven Pearly Gates, I’m just saying there is something about windows by God, even in heaven.
-The windows of heaven-and (creation of God) nature: As far as I can detect the first time windows of heaven are mentioned in this Genesis passage regarding the flooding of His creation recorded in Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened
God grows the gardens to be beautiful and He also brings the rains, winds and ravages of floods, just as it honors His will. Wendy has enjoyed gardens, plants and even the work it took to grow them. She grew flowers, exceptional gardens, a real paradise on earth for us to enjoy at each place we lived at and called home. To look at gardens even ones other tended made her so happy. We took a trip to Mackinaw Island a couple years ago and you would have thought those were the best days of Wendy’s life, she enjoyed the hotel, she really thought the Lincoln Room we stayed in was nice, the formal meal with four courses was special but her joy was in the beauty of the gardens. Early in the morning, she just stared out the window by our dining table at the bright flowers that adorned the porch. The Lord poured out His blessings from His windows in heaven and made those plants grow.
-Today it is May 8th, 2018 and I’ve been told by the medical team here at the hospice house that Wendy’s health has changed to the point where she won’t be looking out earthly windows for long. We have been here for thirteen days and the physical changes are dramatic. I believe Wendy’s new view will be from the windows of heaven soon, because she has put her trust in Christ alone. Please don’t misunderstand, Wendy has been a terrific person, a stellar wife, a loving mother, a caring grandmother, a good steward of her time helping the needy and the sick. All of her qualities came from and were enhanced by the faith she has in Jesus Christ, she would be the first to recognize everyone who has helped her grow her faith and serve Jesus. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Forty-four years ago she traded her way for the Lord’s salvation so she could be with Him forever in Heaven, so she could have the purpose in her life. Will you be enjoying the windows of heaven with her someday?

Your beautiful post and Wendy’s continual joy in her terminal illness remind me of the hymn, “The Windows of Heaven” The Windows of Heaven are open, The blessings are falling tonight; There’s joy, joy, joy in my heart, since Jesus made everything right; I gave Him my old tattered garment, He gave me a robe of pure white; I’m feasting on manna from heaven and that’s why I’m happy tonight.
Love, Missy

Pastor Jackson, Wendy, Jackson family and Community Baptist Church family. The Fife Lake Baptist Church family are praying for you all. The most we can do is pray, and encourage you from the Word of God, which says in Psalms 55:22, Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Continue to be strong, as you witness to the unsaved through your actions and deeds during this trying time.
God bless you all!
Thank you both for taking my husband and I under your wing. Plus helping him to be saved and baptized. You all have been the. I don’t know the word or words I am looking for.
God’s grace is certainly evident as you and Wendy experience this most difficult time. Praying for you and your family.
What a beautiful testimony Pastor Tim , not only to Wendy but, to God. He is always faithful. My prayers are with you & your family at this time.
